New Jersey and Massachusetts – IES, Ltd. has
selected Prime Energy Services as the new name of the company.
IES, Ltd. said the new name and its associated
logo will become the master brand under which the company will market its services to Energy
Services Companies, and Performance Contractors. The company announced the name and brand strategy
to employees today in anticipation of the revised launching of “Prime-WebTrax-,” the web-based
project management system, which is planned for projects starting in October.
The name Prime Energy Services was selected from more than 30 options. The new name was
chosen, primarily, by the definition of “Prime,” which means.

Furthermore, the name “Prime Energy Services” signifies a company that will provide
customers with both stability and a forward-looking vision
IES, Ltd. said that the name Prime Energy Services differentiates them from the last name,
which was derived as an abbreviated version of Independent Energy Services (IES) of CT. IES, Ltd.
has, from the beginning, always been a completely separate entity from that of Independent Energy
Services of CT. The original name, IES, Ltd., was chosen in an effort to not disturb projects in
progress at the time of inception. Independent Energy
Services of CT remains a qualified and professional business ally for mechanical services to Prime
Energy Services.
The company said they would adopt the new name and support it with significant marketing.
Immediately following this announcement, the new name and logo will appear on the website, vehicles,
customer bills and other materials. The company is targeting completion of the name change by
October 1, 2000, and said the full re-branding will take from 1 to 2 months, although the new name
and logo will be immediately visible in key locations.
